Enterprise-wide Agile Deployment

Resolvability for a major European financial institution

The challenge

The Board of a major European financial institution raised concerns when asked to approve the recovery plan. It concluded that, whilst the plan supported a number of business as usual actions, there were concerns that franchise-changing actions may also be required and that these actions may not be viable in a recovery scenario.

The solution

Our SME undertook a detailed review of the recovery plan, assessed the viability of the asset disposal options and collated information of alternative strategies that the Board would consider. A recommendation report was produced and presented, providing a summary of key observations and thematic issues, together with an assessment of the recovery options under consideration and next steps.

The outcome

The bank agreed to initiate an investigation into the viability of disposal options uncovered in the analysis that were not originally in scope. The report findings and recommendations were presented to the regional CFO and subsequently used as the basis for a more detailed investigation by the bank, focusing on the possible impediments identified and the remediation steps required to resolve the issues. A detailed action plan was developed with actions prioritised and costed, enabling future Board confidence to be supported.
